The only point I need make when getting huffle-shamed is Helga Motherfucking Hufflepuff.
She was the best founder in my book, hands down.
You know the story. Each founder wanted only a certain type of student at Hogwarts. When they saw they couldn’t agree they split the school into quarters and set up credentials for their houses.

Salazar was essentially a eugenicist who wanted to implement background checks and only teach you if your lineage was ‘pure’. Rowena probably would have had some sort of rigorous aptitude test to make sure only the most academically gifted were accepted. Godric wanted only brave students so feats of strengths perhaps? Tests of valor?
Helga thought that a student was a student and deserving of the opportunity of receiving an education. What if any one of them was the sole founder of Hogwarts? If anyone but Helga was in charge, hundreds of witches and wizards in Britain would never be able to properly learn magic.
